Pooch Pool Party!
This past weekend was the Glenmont/Wheaton community Pooch Pool Party. Austin and his “cousin” Remy went to play with all the other poochies for an afternoon.
1) They had too much fun playing with each other to pay any attention to other dogs
2) Austin actually went in the water this year (last year he just sniffed the edges of the pool)
3) both dogs were unconscious for the rest of the night – awesome!
4) It was still a little drizzly, so Charlotte watched from her nicely covered stroller. She was very interested in all the doggies, and a couple even stuck their big dripping heads into her stroller to check her out – she didn’t seem to mind.
Costco
As many of you know, Andrew and I are big Costco fans. Saturday samples, dinner for two for $3.57 (including drinks), and watching little old ladies cram 14 gallons of milk and 3 pallettes of frozen fish sticks into two-door hatchbacks make it all worth it. Charlotte has been to Costco before, but we decided that with the sun shining, the samples flowing, and her in an awesome mood, we would commemorate the visit with a pic – she was having a ball.
Austin and the Crib of Doom
Austin and the crib have been having some issues lately. Every night, while we’re getting Charlotte ready for bed, he runs around the room with his beloved lacrosse ball. Now, normally that would be fine, except that he likes to drop it a lot, and sometimes it bounces under the crib. The crib, although it appears to have plenty of space underneath, has a low bar that USUALLY prevents Austin from going all the way under, until Wednesday night that was…
It was kind of funny until he started to try to dig his way out – our poor carpet has enough problems without his help.
